MISSION CRITICAL DESIGN

The Public Safety Community serves the public 24/7, 365 days a year in a dedicated, self-sacrificing role to meet the emergency needs that arise.  The specific emergency is different every time, but the emergency operators in a 911 Center must meet these demands with the highest level of professionalism, care, knowledge, speed and accuracy to help the caller in need.

The design of a facility that houses the 911 operations must support the rolls that are housed within, not just enclose them.  The physical structure needs to be reliable without regards to the outside weather conditions, it must be secure to protect the personnel tirelessly serving inside, and it must be resilient to keep operations and systems functioning without regard to power outages or equipment failures.  The redundancy that is designed in must be seamless and provide the center with the confidence it needs to continue operations even in extreme conditions.

Having designed countless Mission Critical Structures, our team has the extensive experience needed to guide our clients through the very detailed process of ascertaining the physical facility needs along with the technical requirements for the supporting infrastructure that keep the facility operational.

Whether designing the structure for the resiliency needed for extreme weather events, integrating Motorola R56 grounding requirements outside and inside the facility, or providing the security needed to keep the staff safe, and required by NFPA 1225, we will work with the County to make the process a seamless exercise in sharing knowledge and designing to the exacting standards and needs of the our clients.
