Buncombe County NC Woodfin Public Safety Classroom Building

As part of the Buncombe County Public Safety Training Complex, the classroom building was the final phase of the project.

All stakeholders were involved in the design process through a series of meetings. Information was gathered from the technical college faculty and administrative personnel, Buncombe County staff as well as Fire, Police and EMS officers in the County.

The two story structure includes not only classrooms, but also offices, labs, multi-purpose lecture space, as well as common areas and breakrooms. Sustainable features included LED lighting, high-level insulation, a high-efficiency HVAC system as well as strategically placed windows/glass for daylighting advantage.
