Gaston County NC Police Department Renovation

For many years, the Gaston County Police Department had been leasing a space that was not readily available or highly visible to the public. In 2004, the County acquired an existing shopping center and manufacturing plant in the heart of downtown Gastonia. This new location offers higher visibility, as well as better accessibility to major traffic arteries.

After being renovated, this new facility includes a community room, a crime lab, training rooms for tactical operations, and spaces for investigations, records, patrol, community services, crime scene investigations, evidence lockers, and evidence storage, and showers/locker rooms. The entire facility is designed to be easily expanded in the future as the community grows.
