Lincoln County NC Health Department Facility

Stewart Cooper Newell worked together with Lincoln County to determine the best location for the Health Department within a new office complex. Based on the number of daily visitors and ease of access, the majority of the first floor has been laid out to meet the needs of the Lincoln County Health Department main clinic and the Gaston Family Health Services.

In total, approximately 43,000 SF of the facility has been laid out to meet the administrative, financial, clinical, nursing support, laboratory, pharmacy, school nurses, home health and community health education space needs.

Stewart Cooper Newell met with end users within each division of the health department to ensure the facility functioned efficiently and kept correct patient flow throughout despite being a renovation of an existing building. Material selections have been made with emphasis on sustainable materials requiring low maintenance and lowest overall life cycle costs.
