Monroe NC Police Department Headquarters

The City of Monroe tasked Stewart Cooper Newell Archi­tects with the construction of their new Police Department.

The two-story building represents a 7-year, mul­timillion dollar investment designed to centralize ser­vices and enhance community policing for Monroe. The new LEC is approximately 33,000 square feet and is located at 450 W. Crowell St. across from City Hall, and next to the new Philip E. Bazemore Active Adult Center.

The new building includes more office space, secured communications & dispatch center, as space for the Inves­tigations division, state-of-the-art security system, a physical fitness center for the officers, a large conference room, and large conference, training, community rooms.
