North Augusta SC Fire Station No. 3

To provide better coverage in their ever-expanding response area, North Augusta, SC selected a site immediately adjacent to the I-520 loop on the east side of the city. The site also supports a recreational green-way.

The station was designed to set an aesthetic standard for all new City public safety facilities, and to blend into the neighborhood in which it is located with brick and stone veneer, a hipped roofline, and arched openings.

Station 3 includes; three double-loaded drive-through apparatus bays and support spaces, four bunk rooms, kitchen, dining, dayroom, office, along with a police office.

The station is designed to be energy efficient and low-maintenance. It is anticipated that this new design will serve as the prototype for future North Augusta substations.
